As a leading provider of Economics IGCSE Online education, our curriculum is enriched with key economic concepts and analytical tools that will sharpen students’ critical thinking and reasoning abilities, skills that are invaluable to economists.

This highly esteemed IGCSE Economics Online Course sets the foundation for students who aim to further their studies at A Level Economics and subsequently pursue higher education at university.

Homework, Assessment and Reporting

Students enrolled in our IGCSE Economics Online Course are expected to complete at least one piece of homework per subject each fortnight at Level 3, and weekly assignments at Level 4. Success in our Upper School’s Online IGCSE Economics programme is underpinned by the constant review and revision of classroom notes to solidify learning after each lesson. We strongly encourage the creation of revision cards and comprehensive notes for each topic, thereby ensuring that students are adequately prepared for their final examinations at the end of this two-year course.

Assessment-wise, Level 3 internal evaluations occur in June, while Level 4 students undergo internal mock assessments in November and March. Reports are distributed at the end of the Autumn and Summer terms for Level 3, and following mock assessments in the Autumn and Spring terms for Level 4. These reports provide grades for both attainment and effort in each subject, complemented by written feedback from Success Coaches and the Head Teacher.

To keep parents actively involved in their children’s academic journey, we invite them to utilise their family Teams account for regular communication with teachers. This digital interface provides a unique advantage of detailed tracking, which complements the insights gathered from our annual parent consultation evenings.

Parents are responsible for arranging their child’s examinations at their local registered examination centre. Cambridge Home School students study from every part of the globe and so it is not practical for the school to offer a single venue to sit examinations. Consequently, Cambridge Home School is not registered with Cambridge International Examinations but has partnerships with examination centres registered with Cambridge International Examinations, Edexcel, OCR and AQA, and will support students in locating a suitable venue for sitting their written and practical examinations.

If you are intending to study A Level Economics, we recommend that you spend some time in the summer holidays preparing. Here are some suggested activities:
