With a population of 4.3 million people, Kuwait is recognised as one of the best places to live in the Arabian Peninsula. Famous for its incredible cityscape, hot sand dunes, friendly locals, rich Islamic culture, camel races, cool coastal breezes, massive oil reserves, and fascinating traditions, Kuwait is famously called the “Arabian gem.”

The British education system is extremely popular in Kuwait. Parents are focused on providing their children a quality British education to help them attend some of the top universities across the globe and start rewarding careers as well-rounded individuals. As a Kuwaiti citizen, you should have a razor-sharp focus on providing the best educational experience to your child.

In recent years, there has been a gradual increase in online schooling across Kuwait. Compared to conventional (in-person) schooling, online schooling offers increased safety, security, convenience, and flexibility.

Children can receive a quality education from home without experiencing school bullying and/or harassment. The risk of virus contraction from unvaccinated children is also eliminated. Moreover, parents don’t have to worry about in-class favouritism or ineffective teaching from unqualified, inexperienced, and unempathetic teachers.

As one of the leading online schools in Kuwait, we’re committed to providing quality education across four schools: Primary Prep/Key Stage 2 (ages 8 to 10), Lower School/Key Stage 3 (ages 11 to 13), Upper School/IGCSEs (ages 14 to 16), and Sixth Form/AS & A-Levels (ages 17 to 19).

Our Masters/Ph.D. qualified subject specialist teachers use an individualised approach to ensure that each student receives the one-on-one attention they need for optimal knowledge absorption and retention. We keep the classroom size as small as possible (8 to 10 pupils per group) to maximise engagement, interactivity, and attentivity. This is one of the most notable features of online schooling.

Our teachers and education specialists work assiduously to make online schooling structured, cohesive, and well-balanced. From carefully selecting the right class duration to encouraging students to explore their passions, hobbies, and interests outside of class, we cover all the bases to ensure healthy scheduling.

Why Should I Choose Cambridge Home School Online?

1. Quality of Education

a student preparing for his exams from home

As stated earlier, we have a strong focus on maintaining an exceptionally high quality of education for academically able students – we are a selective school. Cambridge Home School’s Masters/Ph.D. qualified subject specialist teachers are committed to ensuring that every lesson is interactive, engaging, and retentive.

By leveraging their extensive teaching experience, audio-visual elements, easy-to-understand examples, advanced resources, and expertise, our teachers help students grasp and retain concepts exceptionally well.

Cambridge Home School’s Kuwaiti students are recognised for securing top grades in their mid-terms and finals, IGCSEs, and A-Levels exams. By providing each student with the tools, support, and guidance they need to succeed, we ensure that they’re on track to actualise impressive academic growth.

By keeping the classroom size small (8 to 10 students per group), we ensure that each student receives ample individualised attention from their teacher. Since each classroom comprises a handful of students, our teachers gain insight into every student’s learning habits, weaknesses, and strengths.

It’s possible that a certain student continually gets distracted during class. Similarly, another student may have trouble with a certain subtopic. By understanding each student’s learning persona and creating an individualised teaching style accordingly, our teachers maximise knowledge absorption and retention. This strategy has helped our Kuwaiti students secure top grades.

A low student-teacher ratio goes a long way in helping students learn more effectively. Students don’t have to compete with each other for their teacher’s time, attention, and guidance. By teaching as few as 8 to 10 students, our teachers can give one-on-one time to all of them. As a result, students get a better grasp of critical concepts. There’s no risk of a student potentially being left behind.

While the group is taught collectively, each individual is also provided the personalised assistance they need to understand the lesson better. Our students progress extremely well. As a parent, you don’t have to worry about your child struggling to pay attention, understand lessons, participate in class, or stay on track. Our teachers will take care of it all.

2. Provision of Top-Tier Resources and Support

We believe that teaching plays a big role in helping students perform exceptionally well. However, teaching is the first pillar that holds the structure of strong learning. The second pillar is the provision of top-tier resources and support.

At Cambridge Home School, we have an independent curriculum in place. We believe that the national curriculum is too prescriptive and subject to political turbulence. By retaining the best aspects of the national curriculum and introducing new facets, we’ve created an independent curriculum that helps students secure top grades.

Based on this curriculum, we’ve equipped our online library with quality educational resources, including study guides, past papers, notes, videos, audios, presentations, exam tips, and a wide range of other tools. Students can access these resources for better revision leading up to their exams.

We also advise parents to utilise these resources and assist their children with homework and/or revision. While this step isn’t necessary, it often helps younger children progress exceptionally well.

It’s important to mention that parents aren’t required to intervene during the online classes at any point. Our Masters/Ph.D. qualified subject specialist teachers structure engaging, interactive, stimulating, and retentive classes to ensure that each student remains engrossed in the lessons through and through. As a parent, you will not be required to “check in” at any point; that’s our job, and it’s a job we take very seriously.

Our definition of “academic performance” covers more than just academic components. We also build essential soft skills in students to help them develop a strong interest in their studies. For instance, students are taught the importance of teamwork for better performance during projects.

We also plan activities that teach students the importance of time management, especially since their exams are time-bound. In addition, soft skills like empathy, respect, self-discipline, and honesty are prioritised. This approach helps Kuwaiti students commit to their studies and become well-rounded individuals.

3. Track Record

In June 2021, 86% of our IGCSE students secured A*s and As in their target subjects. 83% of our A-Levels students secured two As and a B or higher as required by top universities. Moreover, all students who applied received offers from top universities. We attribute our track record to the hard work of our students, the persistence and dedication of our teachers, and the trust of our parents.

Since our inception in 2002, we’ve been committed to consistently making improvements on a bi-yearly basis. From continually tweaking the curriculum to introducing new technologies to our online teaching system to doubling down on building soft skills in students, we’ve made significant improvements.

While our students perform exceptionally well on their exams, they also enjoy a lot of success in non-academic pursuits. Our students are recognised for playing competitive sports in Kuwait, including archery, basketball, football, cricket, basketball, and hockey, among others. Our focus on flexible scheduling makes this extremely easy for students across the board. Since our student-teacher ratio is low, students aren’t required to spend unnecessarily long hours attending classes.

Our classes are more focused and streamlined. In other words, students can learn, engage, and retain more in half the time. In conventional schools, a lot of time is wasted by shuffling in and out of classes, sitting through unfocused lectures, and getting distracted. By eliminating these factors, we help our students enjoy a healthy school-life balance. Our Kuwaiti students travel the world with their family, explore their passions and hobbies, go on excursions, play skill-building games, socialise with their friends, and discover new interests.

Cambridge Home School Online is a selective school which means only the most motivated students with good grades are accepted. Like all of the world’s elite schools Cambridge Home School Online is always over-subscribed and there is a lot of competiton for school places. Parents are advised to apply in advance of an anticipated start date or to join the waiting list.
