Why Should I Choose Cambridge Home School?
1. Quality of Education
With over 19 years of experience, we have a razor-sharp focus on maintaining a high quality of education. we are a selective online school that admits only motivated students with high grades. From carefully selecting a team of qualified teachers to leveraging the most advanced online learning software solutions to developing a vast online library of educational resources, we check off all the boxes.
We’re committed to helping our students succeed. This commitment is strongly upheld across each of our four schools. Whether we’re planning classes for young students between the ages of 7 and 10 or older A-Levels students between the ages of 17 and 19, we ensure that our team maintains the highest quality of education.
We strongly believe that students secure better grades when their teachers excel at delivering well-structured lessons. Our Masters/Ph.D. qualified subject specialist teachers utilise advanced audio-visual elements to make each class more engaging, interactive, and retentive.
Cambridge Home School Online is a selective school which means only the most motivated students with good grades are accepted. Like all of the world’s elite schools Cambridge Home School Online is always over-subscribed and there is a lot of competiton for school places. Parents are advised to apply in advance of an anticipated start date or to join the waiting list.
As stated earlier, we also focus on each child’s unique learning journey, in addition to the classroom’s collective educational experience. By focusing on these two facets, our teachers can successfully help students grow academically.
2. Student Prioritisation
At Cambridge Home School, we’re committed to prioritising each student. Our teachers double down on each student’s academic growth, personal enrichment, and social development from the get-go. We provide one-on-one success coaching and pastoral support to ensure that our students become happy and successful achievers.
By focusing on student mental health, we ensure that our students are provided the support, guidance, encouragement, resources, and reassurance they need to navigate the ups and downs of their educational experience.
Students can fall victim to stress and anxiety when their teachers and parents least expect it. Unfortunately, many students hide their issues and let them silently snowball. Our teachers frequently communicate with each student in a personal capacity to understand their difficulties, if any. Students may struggle with academics or face non-academic hurdles (social life, competitive sporting performance, parental pressure, etc.).
In such cases, our teachers assiduously guide students and help them get back on track. If a student’s mental health is suffering, their grades will also take a toll. By improving each aspect of their academic, personal, and social life, we ensure that the domino effect isn’t set into motion. Our focus on student prioritisation plays a big role in helping our students perform exceptionally well across the board.
3. Track Record
In June 2021, 86% of our IGCSE students secured A*s and As in their target subjects. 83% of our A-Levels students secured two As and a B or higher as required by top universities. Moreover, all students who applied received offers from top universities. We attribute our track record to the hard work of our students, the persistence and dedication of our teachers, and the trust of our parents.
Since our inception in 2002, we’ve been committed to consistently making improvements on a bi-yearly basis. From continually tweaking the curriculum to introducing new technologies to our online teaching system to doubling down on building soft skills in students, we’ve made significant improvements.
While our students perform exceptionally well on their exams, they also enjoy a lot of success in non-academic pursuits. Our students are recognised for playing competitive sports in China, including badminton, soccer, basketball, baseball, and ping-pong. Our focus on flexible scheduling makes this extremely easy for students across the board. Since our student-teacher ratio is low, students aren’t required to spend unnecessarily long hours attending classes.
Our classes are more focused and streamlined. In other words, students can learn, engage, and retain more in half the time. In conventional schools, a lot of time is wasted by shuffling in and out of classes, sitting through unfocused lectures, and getting distracted. By eliminating these factors, we help our students enjoy a healthy school-life balance. Our students travel the world with their family, explore their passions and hobbies, go on excursions, play skill-building games, socialise with their friends, and discover new interests.
4. Provision of Resources
Following their classes, students are strongly encouraged to revise their lessons at home. Our students go over their notes and course materials for the day, complete their homework, and utilise our online resources. Let’s talk about the latter a tad more. At Cambridge Home School, we offer a vast online library of educational resources, including videos, audios, presentations, study guides, past papers, insights and tips from teachers, and so much more.
These resources are updated on a monthly basis. By utilising them each day, students can polish their skills and keep up with the pace of online learning maintained at Cambridge Home School. By providing additional resources, we help our students get a head start. Students are also encouraged to identify anything that they don’t understand, consult their teachers, and clear their concepts on time. This is reiterated in every other class to encourage our students to take up even the slightest query/concern/doubt with their teachers.
Meanwhile, our teachers work assiduously to identify each student’s shortcomings through their tests and class performance. Based on this information, they individualise the classes to ensure that students who are struggling can promptly get back on track.
