At Cambridge Home School Online, we want our students to succeed. Over the years, our students have achieved impressive academic growth across different homeschooling stages. They have secured top grades and secured admission to some of the most prestigious universities across the globe, including Cambridge, Oxford, Yale, Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, and the like.
What has made this possible? For starters, we have a team of MA/MSc/PhD qualified subject specialist teachers on board. Our students are taught an independent, well-rounded, and interdisciplinary curriculum that covers greater educational breadth and depth than the national curriculum. Additionally, they’re provided access to a vast online library of educational resources.
Our online repository includes previous catch-up lessons, PowerPoint presentations, videos, past papers, and a range of other resources. Students can access these 24/7. This approach helps us keep the learning process going long after students finish their online classes for the day.
We also keep the student-teacher ratio particularly low. This approach is common among most online schools today. We teach between 8–10 students in each classroom, no more. However, in many conventional schools, as many as 25 or even 30 students are taught in a single classroom. There are too many students present in the classroom. As a result, teachers struggle to provide one-on-one attention to each pupil. Students fail to pay attention in class. The risk of school bullying also increases significantly.
By teaching a select number of students in each classroom, we ensure that every student receives individualised support from their teachers. Our students actively ask questions, engage with their peers, and perform well on in-class tests and activities. By increasing classroom interactivity levels, we transform our students into high achievers.
Our students continually impress us by performing exceptionally well in school. In June 2021, 86% of our IGCSE students secured A*s and As in their target subjects. 83% of our A Level students secured two As and a B or higher, as requested by top universities. Moreover, all students who applied received offers from some of the world’s best universities.
We couldn’t be more proud of our students. When hard-working students are equipped with excellent teaching support and resources, they begin to excel. This has been our vision since our inception in 2002. Over two decades later, we’re proud of the immense growth our students continue to achieve in Leeds.
