1. Qualified, Experienced, Dedicated Teachers

At CHS Online, we have a team of MA/MSc/PhD qualified subject specialist teachers on board. We strongly believe that students must be equipped with the right teaching support. Students may struggle to perform well if their teachers lack experience, expertise, the right training, and a broad skillset.

Our teachers deliver engaging, stimulating, and individualised lessons to help each pupil absorb and retain the bulk of knowledge presented in the classroom. We keep the classroom size small to facilitate this. Our classes comprise between 8 and 10 students, no more.

This is a very different approach from most conventional schools today. In conventional classrooms, the student-teacher ratio is particularly high. In some cases, as many as 25, 30, or even 35 students are taught in a single classroom. As a result, teachers fail to provide one-on-one attention to each student. They also struggle to track individual performance, peer-to-peer interactions, and collective classroom growth.

Over time, this approach starts to backfire. Since students aren’t closely monitored, they easily get distracted. Ideally, teachers should be able to identify these instances and reel students back into the lesson. However, owing to the high student-teacher ratio, this becomes impossible. Teachers have so much on their plates that they cannot possibly identify which students are zoning out.

The risk of school bullying also increases. Students get away with bullying, taunting, and abusing their peers. In most cases, teachers never find out.

At Cambridge Home School Online, we make sure this doesn’t happen. Our experienced, empathetic, and attentive teachers closely track everything happening in the classroom. This helps them identify instances of bullying, if any. It also helps them personalise the lessons for each student. Our pupils get a chance to work on their weaknesses, build new skills, and excel across the board.

2. Flexibility

Online schooling is flexible, not rigid. Students aren’t required to commute to/from school daily, sit in a physical classroom, or shuffle in and out of classes all day long. This process is rather draining. As students return home from school, they feel exhausted, worn out, and fatigued.

As an online student, you’ll receive lessons from home. Students are required to possess a computer/laptop, a strong, stable Wi-Fi connection, the required books and notebooks, and stationery. You may need certain items if your teachers plan any class activities. These will be communicated to your parents beforehand.

Compared to conventional schooling, online learning offers greater convenience to students. You’ll free up a lot of time that would otherwise be spent roaming around campus. Our students utilise this time to play sports, socialise with their friends, explore new hobbies and activities, go on explorations, develop new skills, do volunteer work, and so on. The learning process never stops.

3. Complete Support and Guidance

We provide one-on-one success coaching and pastoral support to every student. We understand that academic stress, anxiety, and burnout are common among students living in the UAE. These issues must be carefully and promptly addressed by qualified student counsellors.

We provide complete guidance to students across academic, personal, and social realms. Our students enjoy good mental health, which helps them perform even better in school. In June 2021, 86% of our IGCSE students secured A*s and As in their target subjects. 83% of our A Level students secured two As and a B or higher, as requested by top universities. Moreover, all students who applied received offers from some of the best universities across the globe.

Our track record reflects our focus on helping students succeed. As we transform Sharjah’s immense potential into excellent grades, we hope to add more success stories to the list.

4. An Independent Curriculum

At Cambridge Home School Online, we believe that the national curriculum is too prescriptive. Our MA/MSc/PhD teachers use an independent curriculum to help students cover more ground and learn comprehensively, not superficially.

Our curriculum covers topics and subtopics that aren’t addressed in the national curriculum. Covering these gaps ensures that our students are fully equipped for their examinations.

As one of the most esteemed online international schools in the UAE, Cambridge Home School Online is trusted by thousands of parents and students in Sharjah. Whether you’re interested in primary school online learning, online classes for secondary education, IGCSE schools online, or A Level classes, CHS Online should be your top consideration.
