Description
Cambridge Lower School provides an enriching literacy online primary school programme that aligns with both the National Curriculum and Cambridge Curriculum standards. We aim to instil a robust understanding of language and foster a lifelong love for literature in our students. Our online literacy lessons for primary school students follow the Pie Corbett approach to teaching writing, modified to suit our pupils’ specific needs. This unique approach embraces a wide range of writing styles and genres. Designed to meet the standards of Key Stage 2, our primary school literacy online course is meticulously crafted to enrich your child’s understanding of both spoken and written language.
Assessment
Teacher assessments in our online literacy classes for primary school students are ongoing and comprehensive, taking place during LIVE TAUGHT lessons. This includes the marking of work, assignments, and summative tests. Our assessment methods ensure that your child receives well-rounded instruction in our Key Stage 2 literacy school online.
Homework
In addition to our LIVE TAUGHT lessons, homework is assigned at the end of each week. This usually takes the form of written projects that align with the genre or style of writing being taught, further cementing the principles learnt in our online literacy lessons for Key Stage 2 students.
Reporting
Parents have 24/7 access to all of their children’s coursework through a secure online portal. To keep parents informed and engaged, the school also holds three parent consultations per year—one for each term. This ensures that families can communicate effectively with teachers about their child’s progress.
Engage your child in our holistic literacy programme and watch them flourish both academically and personally.
