This esteemed IGCSE Business Studies Online qualification serves as a testament to students’ grasp of both theoretical principles and practical skills, essential in both public and private business settings.

Our Business Studies IGCSE Online curriculum not only offers a highly regarded qualification but also establishes a solid foundation for progression to A-Level Business Studies and beyond, paving the way for future university studies.

Homework, Assessment and Reporting

Students enrolled in our Online IGCSE Business Studies programme within the Upper School are mandated to complete at least one piece of homework per subject every fortnight for Level 3 and on a weekly basis for Level 4. Attaining success in the Upper School is further guaranteed by diligent revision of notes to reinforce learning following each lesson. The compilation of revision cards and specialized notes is indispensable for ensuring students are well-prepared in advance of their final examinations at the conclusion of the two-year IGCSE Business Studies Online Course.

Level 3 internal assessments are carried out in June, while Level 4 internal mock assessments occur in November and March. Reports for Level 3 are disseminated at the end of both the Autumn and Summer terms, whereas Level 4 reports are distributed following the mock assessments in the Autumn and Spring terms. These reports include grades for attainment and effort in each subject, accompanied by written commentary from Success Coaches and the Head Teacher.

Parents are strongly advised to maintain an open line of communication with teachers through their family Teams account, offering a distinct advantage of more granular tracking of student progress throughout the academic year compared to a conventional annual parent consultation evening.

Parents are responsible for arranging their child’s examinations at their local registered examination centre. Cambridge Home School students study from every part of the globe and so it is not practical for the school to offer a single venue to sit examinations. Consequently, Cambridge Home School is not registered with Cambridge International Examinations but has partnerships with examination centres registered with Cambridge International Examinations, Edexcel, OCR and AQA, and will support students in locating a suitable venue for sitting their written and practical examinations.

If you are intending to study A Level Business Studies, we recommend that you spend some time in the summer holidays preparing. Here are some suggested activities:
