Mrs Rimmer

I have 20 years of teaching experience in top private schools and the state sector in the UK, plus an excellent track record of results at GCSE and A Level. I have an LLB in Law and a PGCE in English. I am shortly completing an NPQ in ‘leading literacy’ where my focus has been on oracy to improve writing. My passion is English Literature, especially twentieth century American authors. However, several years of living in Dorset has also pushed Thomas Hardy into my top five!

I have lived all over the world thanks to a husband who is in the British Army and we are shortly to move to Vienna where I’m looking to improve my German and have a new family adventure. My experience of so many different cultures has definitely informed and enhanced not only my teaching but also my ability to empathise and support students who (like me and for many reasons) may have experienced disruption in their educational journey. My lessons are fun, interactive and purposeful and I look forward to meeting you all!
