Dr Edlin
I am Dr Duncan Edlin. I have taught Science, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology at secondary school level (age 11-18) for over 18 years. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a laboratory manager for a Biochemical company using DNA to secure property. I completed my BSc in Biochemistry (1993) and my PhD (1997) at Cardiff University. I then went on to pursue research in the Biological Sciences Department. My research work investigated the use of yeasts and fungi to produce flavours and fragrances. I have also worked on environmental factors that affect lipid metabolism in wheat. My hobbies include learning karate, walking in the Welsh hills, and playing the guitar. I have a wife and two grown up daughters.
