A carefully curated 2 year programme of activities designed to build pupils’ confidence, knowledge and skills. All of the formal elements are explored; line, shape, tone, form, colour, texture, working with media and materials, mixed media, 3d/sculpture. This endeavour is connected to the work of artists, history and culture, through skills exercises, group projects, art projects, stand-alone artworks during this key stage of artistic development.

Not applicable at Key Stage 3 – no qualification to be attained.

Basic drawing and painting materials will suffice for the completion of this course. The recycling bin is a treasure trove of colours, textures, forms which are ideal for mixed media and 3d work.
