Five Reasons why Students & Families are Thriving at CHS!

Students & Families are Thriving at CHS- We Explore Why!

Whatever your reason for thinking about online schooling, making the leap is always an exciting (and sometimes nerve-wracking) time. Our students, staff & families are always ready to share their reasons for choosing Cambridge Home School, and here are just a few.

Forget hours stuck on a school bus in a scratchy and expensive uniform, our students have taken back what’s theirs- their time. Cutting out the commute can save on average two hours daily, in which time our pupils engage in their hobbies and passions, from horse riding to chess and anything in between. Our school is home to elite athletes, hobbyists and families who simply want the ability to access school from their chosen location. We’re passionate about creating the healthiest balance possible between hours spent in our virtual classrooms and hours spent embracing the benefits of the great outdoors- wherever you may be!

With over 200 students from across the world, there really is no comparison in terms of the international connections and friendships our CHS students make. Our thriving community is filled with kindness, tolerance and positivity. From day one, when students are inducted to CHS, they feel the power and support of their peers through our busy and vibrant online channels, with many friendships enduring the test of time after they move on to university!

We know how important grades and onward university destinations are to our parents. Many of our students join us because their efforts and individual nuances are not being well served in traditional schooling environments, where classroom sizes and behavioural issues impede progress. Our last cohort of results were our best yet, with 65% of GCSE results at A*/A Level and 100% of our brilliant A-Level students receiving offers from top universities, including Cambridge. We are also very proud to have sent our students to study at a wide range of institutions and courses, with the majority of our students attending Russell Group universities reading degrees such as Engineering, Architecture, English, Physics, Music and Business Management. We also had students attend US universities on academic and sporting scholarships.

Many parents express frustration with the traditional schooling system, where class sizes and behavioural issues can impede their child’s progress. At CHS we offer a more tailored approach to education, with a maximum of 10 students per class. Teachers can really get to know each child, their learning style and what makes them tick, and students can access direct support from their teachers whenever they need it. At Cambridge Home School Online we also have the largest library of learning resources of any online school, available to access whenever students need a refresher or revision resources!

Our admissions process is specially designed to ensure that students are assessed not only on their grades, but on their good character and kindness. We pride ourselves on having the most positive and supportive community of students, all with a generous helping of kindness. Happy students learn at a better rate and thrive in their studies, which gives us even more reason to strive for the supportive community you will find at our school!
