I have been very fortunate to teach French and Spanish for the last 25 years. Before that I was an Officer in the British Army as a translator. As an army family and with our two teenage daughters, we have moved around for the last 20 years which has given me the opportunity to teach in both private and state sector and in many different countries. I thoroughly enjoy teaching languages and being half French I enjoy any opportunity to speak it and to visit my family in France.
We currently live in Italy where I have had six months to learn a new language, which has also helped us settle, given me some ideas for some teaching and remind me why learning a new language is so important! I love the outdoors; I have lead expeditions for World challenge to South America and Tibet and have coached netball and basketball. I am currently learning about the renaissance as we live in Florence.
