Mrs Cane
I studied Neuroscience at university and found it absolutely fascinating. I was particularly interested in understanding the relationship between the brain, behaviour, and the science behind how we think and function. Following my studies, I began my teaching career as a Chemistry teacher before later completing a Master’s degree in Psychology. Since then, I have taught both Psychology and Chemistry and enjoy bringing together ideas from both subjects to help students make meaningful connections in their learning.
My favourite area of Psychology is Biological Psychology, as I love exploring how Biology and the brain influence behaviour and mental processes. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for this area with students and encouraging curiosity and a deeper understanding of the subject.
Outside of teaching, I love reading and spending time travelling with my family. I have two young children who keep life wonderfully busy, as well as a dog and a cat. Family walks are one of my favourite ways to spend time together and enjoy the outdoors.
