Mrs Perkins
I first joined CHS in 2020 and immediately clicked with teaching online. I loved the opportunity it provided of meeting students in all countries across the globe. After four years I was fully inspired by my students achieving their dreams that I decided to try to achieve my childhood dream of becoming a Veterinary Surgeon. After two years at vet school, my circumstances changed and I decided to leave the course. Now, I am very excited to be able to rejoin the CHS team and get back in the online ‘classroom’!
I have over 15 years teaching experience, in both the state and private sectors, of students aged 11-18 in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I achieved a First Class BSc with Hons degree in Animal Biology before studying for my MSc degree at Oxford Brookes University. I then obtained a PGCE in Science and have been teaching ever since.
Aside from teaching, I very much enjoy exploring my rural Kentish neighbourhood taking long walks with my husband and my little Schnauzer, Ozzy. I also have a zest for running and boxing as well as horse riding and, of course, socialising with friends.
