Ms Townshend
My name is Ms Townshend. I am an artist, illustrator, and Art teacher. I live and work a few miles outside of Brighton in Sussex at the foot of the South Downs. I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and creativity has always been at the heart of who I am.
I am a fully qualified Art and Design teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching across secondary schools and sixth-form colleges. Throughout my career I have taught a wide range of subjects, including Art, Design, Graphic Design, Photography, and Textiles, working with students at KS2, KS3, GCSE, BTEC, and A-Level.
In my own time I draw and paint and maintain my own creative practice. I live in a beautiful part of the world and so love to be outside walking and enjoying the countryside. I am part of a choir and love to sing and I recently joined a women’s cricket team which has been such fun, it’s a great sport.
